Over the last years a number of NGO organisations have commenced tracking both real and perceived business benefit companies can expect from their CSR activities over and above normal philanthropic benefits.
In broad these can be categorised into 6 major areas of business benefit. Benefits of accelerated economic growth, reduced costs, improved access to capital, improved risk management, positive public perception and the development of human capital. In supporting any of the initiatives within Mayflower – health, education, empowerment, environment and community initiatives - a differing cross section of benefits may be obtained dependent on the specific initiative. The benefits may be strong, weak or not likely for that initiative. However, taken as a whole, the business case for participating in any Mayflower initiative is compelling.
