Mayflower Foundation registered and ready to start operations
A major landmark achieved for the Mayflower Foundation as it is formally registered at the Corporate Affairs Commission in Abuja with Chief Molade Okoya-Thomas, Makanjuola Alabi and Albert May (of NEW ERA Partners) appointed as Trustees of Mayflower Foundation Nigeria.
The registration is confirmed on the same date as Mayflower Foundation sponsors a key event in the Nigerian Corporate Responsibility Calendar, The SERA Nigerian CSR Awards. Speaking at the event Mr Albert May, managing partner at NEW ERA Partners, expressed the importance for all Nigerian corporations and local governments working together to alleviate poverty, empower local residents and generally make it “ A Better Day In Lagos”
So far 20 large corporations have been personally invited to join the Foundation and negotiations are well under way to sign them as Founding Patrons. Lagos State Signage & Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has also confirmed their continuing support for the Foundation.
Following the formal registration and setting up essential managerial and financial procedures, including bank accounts, The Mayflower Foundation has now completed all preparations and is ready to operate.
