In order to build a healthy community there needs to be a foundation that feels safe and secure. These are our children. However, as a result of disease and poverty many are not safe and secure. They need to be looked after, educated, housed and fed, as well as provided for emotionally. Mayflower will promote OVC community programmes.
Mayflower hopes to raise US$500,000 per annum for a period of 5 years to provide support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Ebute-Metta. Per annum it is hoped that 1,250 children in the community will be directly impacted. There is no direct benefit that can be measured but families will be better placed to concentrate on their livelihoods rather than being constantly concerned for their children.
