Without question, the health infrastructure in Lagos is at a breaking point or perhaps even worse.
Mayflower will implement a range of community based programmes to create or provide local and regional health centres with up-to-date equipment and well stocked pharmacies. Financing should be possible from a mix of public/private initiatives as well as internationally donated medicines and equipment. All of these programmes will be co-ordinated with federal and state master “Wealth through Health” development plans.
Mayflower hopes to raise US$400,000 per annum for a period of 5 years to provide healthcare. Infrastructure, facilities and equipment programmes in Ebute-Metta. Per annum it is hoped that for each refurbished or new health facility 100s of people in the community will have their health improved.
