The objective in any community is essential healthcare at affordable prices for all community citizens.
Mayflower will design, source and manage a package of free or nearly free medicines and basic treatments. These will be delivered through community clinics or homebased care workers staffed from a network of appropriately trained CBO, NGO and corporate volunteers. A number of showcase clinics will be built using an economic model that allows sustainability and replication within the community.
Mayflower hopes to raise US$200,000 per annum for a period of 5 years to provide primary healthcare programmes in Ebute-Metta. Per annum it is hoped that for each refurbished or new primary healthcare facility 100s of people in the community will have their health improved.
